Cyclone Arnab killed three people in Andhra Pradesh after crossing the coast near Narsapur, state officials said on Wednesday. The Associated Press reported 31 damaged homes and about 57,000 people moved into relief camps in the state. Reuters said more than 180,000 people had been evacuated across Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring Odisha before and during landfall.

The storm weakened after crossing the Andhra Pradesh and Yanam coasts, but the India Meteorological Department continued to warn of heavy rain, flash flooding and landslides as the system moved inland. Roads, trees and electricity networks were damaged in several districts. The reported toll is an early official assessment and may change as access improves.

Searches for “weather tomorrow” reached a 500K+ bucket in India during Google Trends’ preceding four-hour window. That broad regional surge does not establish a direct connection to Arnab and is not used as evidence; it reinforces the practical need for location-specific forecasts. Impact figures come from state authorities and independent reporting, while current warnings should come from IMD and local emergency agencies.
